Ping - People in Need in Gambia
How often have you heard people complaining about all the bad news in the media and wishing that there was more good news. Early this morning I listened to a great good news story on the BBC World Service.
It was about two retired entrepreneurs, Brian Harrold and Pamela Morgan (who is a former holder of the Northern Ireland Businesswoman of the Year award), from Northern Ireland who had a holiday in Gambia three years ago. Whilst they were in that country they visited the poverty striken village of Bafaluto and decided they'd like to assist the villagers improve their quality of life.
Since 2005 a clean water system has been created in Bafaluto and a charity has been established to help the villagers. Learn more about Brian and Pamela's work by www.newsletter.co.uk/news/Couple-in-Gambian-aid-appeal.4049026.jp+Bafaluto+Brian+Harrold+and+Pamela+Morgan&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=uk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"> clicking here and visit their charity site www.pingcharity.co.uk
