Animal Charities
There are three stand alone charities which are not connected other than the type of work they do and the words Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. People sometimes misunderstand that they are different organisations which means that they may not be supporting their local society. These societies are the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) and the Ulster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA). http://www.uspca.co.uk
It costs one million pounds per year to run the USPCA. The Society is not funded by government and any shortfall has to be sourced by the Society. Have a look at the Society's website to see the various ways that are available for you to give them some support.
