Take humanitarian action – Join Red Cross Appeal Week team!
Rain or shine, the Red Cross is there, whatever the crisis. In Zimbabwe, we’re distributing clean water and food to people affected by the severe cholera outbreak. Here in Scotland/Northern Ireland, our trained volunteers are there to help people cope after a fire or emergency, providing practical help, advice and comfort.
Two hours of your time collecting this Appeal Week can help us to always be there. In return, you will…
> Feel great – help the world’s largest humanitarian organisation.
> Be prepared – you’ll receive our top tips for collectors.
> Take action – you’ll receive a British Red Cross t-shirt, collection bucket, stickers and collection permit.
> Feel appreciated – you’ll receive a thank you certificate and let you know how much you’ve raised.
Red Cross Appeal Week is our annual fundraising week, held from 3 – 9 May and marks the birthday of Jean Henri Dunant on 8 May – the founder of the international Red Cross Red Crescent movement.
In the current economic downturn, vulnerable people are relying more than ever on the services of the British Red Cross. Please help us to always be there, rain or shine, by taking humanitarian action. Give two hours of your time to collect this Appeal Week in your neighbourhood.
Contact Charlotte Trinder to get involved by Monday 20 April 2009. Phone: 02890 735367 or email: CTrindar@redcross.org.uk
