The SOS Bus and Ballymurphy Residents Association commenced a long term partnership at the beginning of April. The bus will be in the estate each Tuesday to deliver a range of projects initiated by local people. There's also an SOS bus planned for Derry which should be on the road later in the year provided the SOS bus project continues to be supported by the private and public sectors.

There was an article in The Irish News on Friday last week by Diana Rusk. The article was headed Late Night Rescue Bus Sends Out Funding SOS. Every weekend since November 2007 volunteers on the bus have been offering counselling servicess and giving first aid as well as free hot drinks to late night revellers in Belfast.
