Billy Caldwell Foundation
Not many people get to have a foundation named after them in their lifetime but that is not the only remarkable thing about Billy Caldwell. At the age of nine months, the doctors in Northern Ireland told his mother, Charlotte Caldwell, to take Billy home to die from his epilepsy. She refused to give up his right to life and her right to hope. She looked beyond our shores for help for Billy and in September 2007 discovered the Children’s Memorial in Chicago where Dr. Nordli is a world-renowned expert in treating children with seizures. There, at last, Charlotte and her partner Andy Kempston, found hope. http://www.billycaldwellfoundation.com
